Well, I thought I might as well but up a status of my current projects.
First of all, I’ve been working on my entry for the Nicktoons Network Animation Film Festival 2008 “Built By Me” Lego Movie Contest. I’ve finished the script, and progress has been slow since I ordered some pieces, but it’s going well.
I might also be making a clip from the Blues Brothers for the same montage that my Terminator clip was made for, but currently that is only an idea and I may not have the time.
And while I haven’t got anything done in Project: Top Secret in a while, I plan to get something done for it. A lot of film ideas are buzzing through my head that I wish I had time for, but hey, do what you can and hope for the best!
Just in case you’ve been wondering (and just in case anyone does come to this webiste =P), Shnoiv Productions.com is only temporarily down due to paying issues.
The Zesty Fox team have recently finished and released the first episode to our continuing miniseries “Zesty Fox”. The series is being worked on now and will be released in due time.
Without futher ado, the rest of the Zesty Fox team and I proudly present, “Zesty Fox : Episode 1″
Hello again. So far in the project, we’re still waiting for some people to join the project, so activity has been scarce.
However, while we’ve been waiting, we’ve been able to research and use some really amazing programs.
One example is CineGobs Keyer, which is the single best freeware greenscreen program I’ve ever seen. It’s far superior to Wax, and can do more than just greenscreen. I’ve made a thing or two that I hope to show to you guys soon.
I’m sure you’ve all heard of Blender, the free 3D operating program. Since the program itself is pretty complex, I’ve looked a bit farther into it and how it’s userface works. It’s pretty neat.
GIMP is basically a photo-editing program in which you can spice up photos, and you can download an add-on to edit avi files. So far, I’ve used it to edit this by adding the blood, a it of depth, and neon to the sign.
Two other programs that I have and experimented with are Photoscape, another photo-editing program, and Squirlz, which let’s you add rain and water reflections, but I’m yet to actually complete anything with these.
So far, I’ve learned a lot, and the project hasn’t even begun. I have high hopes for the future of this project!
Lately on ilovebrickfilming.com, a community project named Project: Top Secret has been discussed and is about to go into action. The project is meant for new brickfilmers to learn skills and effects in animating. The plot synopsis focuses around a group of agents trying to retrieve a memory chip of information.
As I am taking part in it, I will update you with info about the progress of the project. So far I have the design of my character:
This is my entry for the Brickfilms Montage, taken from the Terminator. Unluckily, the “back” is cut out because YouTube plays the video weird.
What seems to be a 4-second clip is actually a 2-week project, not including the time it took for my Arnie to arrive. The set was extremely hard to make.
